Microsoft demonstrates Windows 8 Touch Interface

For the longest time Microsoft teased Windows 8 and said it will be way more touch friendly and it will support Arm devices and applications, now we finally get to see how Microsoft envisions the next generation of Windows Tablets.
They posted the first video in a series on their blog, so everyone can take a look, here it is:

If you already have a Windows Tablet, you know about the navigation problems in Windows, because it just isn’t optimized for touch controls yet, but this looks like Microsoft really took a deep, hard stare at their interface and combined the best of Windows flexibility in the background with a slick tiled interface that looks very much like the Metro UI they use on Windows Phone 7.
Seeing it in action will make the waiting time much harder, but now I know I was right, that with Windows 8, Microsoft will take back a lot of the tablet market, where they so painfully lost share in the last years.
